The non profit organization Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs (The Designers Christmas Trees) have been raising funds with its prestigious charity event for 20 years now.
Every December, renowned personalities from the world of fashion, design or architecture, bring their talent to offer their unique vision of the Christmas tree. For our past editions, our organization has proudly collaborated with great names such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Chantal Thomass, Chanel, Dior, Sonia Rykiel and Louis Vuitton.
The works created are auctioned during a charity evening and all the money raised with this auction is then given to support a charity.
Besides a pecuniary support, our event brings to the chosen cause some more notoriety in the media. Last year for instance, several articles (Voici, Gala, Bild, Sipa Press…) and video coverage (prime time TV show on the first French channel, Die Welt.de, Glamour Spain…) relayed the fight against cancer. Previous years, a 52 minutes TV show was recorded and broadcast on TV5 Monde (203 countries, 165 millions households), NRJ 12 or NRJ Paris.
This original idea that consists in designers reinterpreting Christmas to support a great cause was made by Marie-Christiane Marek, the founding president of our organization. She is also a journalist and a broadcast show producer. Since the beginning, she used all her energy to actively support the causes.
Last facet of Les Sapins de Noël des Créateurs, a free exhibition is open few days before the benefit evening in order for everyone to profit of the creativity of the internationally known designers. It is set in an exceptional place in Paris (Carrousel du Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Cité de l'architecture & du patrimoine, Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication, Hôtel Dassault, Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild).
